 •  Join us for a tell all, “Entrepreneurs Uncensored” event moderated by John Huntz, Consultant to Arcapita.  Our serial entrepreneurs Jay Yadav, Founder and former CEO of CardioMEMS and Chris Rouland, Founder and former CEO of Endgame Systems will share their war stories, including success stories and what kept them up at night.  Come hear the good the bad, the ugly and leave with takeaways for your business.

 •  You may make appointments with one or more of our experts to get advice regarding your startup pain points. You can make multiple appointments based on availability.  The Office Hours sessions begin at 3:30, 4:00 and 4:30 p.m. and are no additional charge.

 •  Networking available with MIT Enterprise Forum members and other startups before and after your advice session.

John Huntz, Moderator

John Huntz currently serves as Managing Partner of Huntz & Co., a private equity/venture advisory firm and a consultant to Arcapita Investment Management, an international investment firm based in Bahrain.  He joined Arcapita in 2005 as the Executive Director and Head of Venture Capital with more than 30 years of private equity, venture capital and operational experience. In March 2009, John assumed the additional responsibilities as President/Treasurer of Arcapita Inc. and Head of Arcapita’s Atlanta Office.

Prior to joining Arcapita, John spent 14 years at the Fuqua companies, where he served as Managing Director of Fuqua Ventures, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Fuqua Enterprises, Inc., a NYSE company. Prior to Fuqua, John’s experience includes financial and investment management as Managing Partner of Noble Ventures International, a private equity firm, Director of Capital Resources for Arthur Young & Company and as an investment professional at Harrison Capital, a private equity investment subsidiary of Texaco.

John is well respected as a leader in venture/private equity investing and served as a member of the Board of Directors of the National Venture Capital Association and the Securities and Exchange Commission’s Small Business Capital Formation Task Force Executive Committee. In addition to these national roles, John is one of the leaders of the venture community in the Southeast as demonstrated by his founding and leadership of the Southern Capital Forum.  He is currently Chairman of the Board of Manhattan Associates (NASDAQ: MANH), Chairman of CardioMEMS, Inc. and on the Boards of PreScience Labs and SaleWise, Inc.  John is a Board member and past Chairman of the Georgia Logistics Innovation Council, a member of the Commission for a New Georgia, Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce Advisory Board, member of the Advisory Board of Imperial Innovations (Imperial College – London), the Boards of Georgia Advanced Technology Ventures and the Global Center for Medical Innovation (Georgia Tech), the advisory board of the Piedmont Heart Institute, the U.S. Chamber International Committee, and had served on the Bahrain Business Council and as a trustee for the Crown Prince’s (Bahrain) International Scholarship Program. He serves on the board of the American Heart Association and its Foundation Investment Committee, Madison-Morgan County Cultural Center, and Atlanta Charity Clays.  He also served as Chairman of the AtlantaBotanical Garden and is a lifetime Trustee, and past President of the Atlanta Chapter of the Association for Corporate Growth. John received his BBA from Niagara University and holds his MBA from Sacred Heart University.

Chris Rouland

Founder and Former CEO, Endgame Solutions

Chris Rouland founded Bastille Networks in 2014 after more than 25 years in the information security industry. Most recently, Chris founded Endgame Systems, which provides cyber security solutions to the defense, civilian and national security communities.

As founder and CEO of Endgame, in just three years, he grew the company from his basement to nearly 100 employees with offices in Washington, Atlanta and San Antonio and from revenues of $0 to more than $10 million. Chris also put together a world-class team of investors and board of directors investing over $58 million in venture capital - making Endgame a name brand in cyber security. His innovation and leadership combined with Endgame’s rapid growth, earned Chris the Metro Atlanta Chamber’s Business Person of the Year in 2011.

Prior to founding Endgame, Chris served as chief technology officer at Internet Security Systems Inc. (ISS) where he was responsible for the overall technical direction of its product and services portfolio. In 2006, IBM Corp. purchased ISS, where Chris remained CTO and was appointed an IBM Distinguished Engineer.

From 1994 to 1998, Chris served as vice president of distributed technology at Lehman Brothers. A noted information security expert, Chris is a sought after speaker and has been featured in national publications, including Forbes and Wall Street Journal.

Jay Yadav

Jay Yadav

Jay S. Yadav, M.D., is the Founder and former Chief Executive of CardioMEMS, acquired by St. Jude Medical, and a consulting cardiologist at the Piedmont Heart Institute. He was the founder of Angioguard (acquired by JNJ) and initial investor and director of SMART Therapeutics (acquired by Boston Scientific).  Dr. Yadav is a director of several private medical device and technology companies.  He is Chairman of the Southeast Medical Device Association (SEMDA), Co-Chair of the Metro Atlanta Bioscience Leadership Council, Chairman of the Medical Device Committee and a Director of Georgia Bio, The Indus Entrepreneurs and the Global Center for Medical Innovation (GCMI).  

Dr. Yadav has authored two books, over two hundred publications, and holds over forty patents. He has received numerous honors including the American Heart Association Top Ten Scientific Advances for 2003, Ellis Island Medal of Honor for 2004, Southeast Medical Device Association Entrepreneur of the Year Award for 2010, Phoenix Award for Medical Devices 2011, Association of Telecom Professionals Award 2011 and Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year for Healthcare (Southern Region) for 2011.
