MIT Enterprise Forum volunteer opportunities:

The MIT Enterprise Forum of Atlanta is run by an all-volunteer group. Each one of us is involved because we are committed to providing high quality events that promote entrepreneurship and innovation in technology, and because we have fun doing it. You don't have to be an MIT alumnus to be part of our team. In fact, about 80% of us did not attend MIT. By volunteering for the MIT Enterprise Forum of Atlanta, you too will be part of the Global MIT Enterprise Forum.

If you are interested in becoming a volunteer or to just know more about the MIT Enterprise Forum, please call Virginia Martin at 404-422-0330 and she will put you in touch with the appropriate committee chair.

Where do volunteers fit in the MIT Enterprise Forum?

Our entire organization is run by volunteers, including: experienced entrepreneurs, corporate executives, university professors and industry leaders. Most volunteers join one of our Operating Committees, in a functional area such as Sponsorship, Marketing and Programming. Volunteers are quickly embraced as part of the team and integrated into our prestigious network.

What is the definition of a volunteer?

A volunteer is an individual who is willing to actively participate - on an unpaid basis - in the planning, development, support and management of the Forum's program offerings.

What volunteer opportunities are available?

The MIT Enterprise Forum seeks to fulfill its mission through a series of specific educational events. Volunteers organize and run each of these events, as well as the ongoing operations of the Forum. A list of current opportunities with the Atlanta chapter is available on request; please call Virginia Martin at 404-422-0330 and she will put you in touch with the appropriate committee chair.

What are the requirements for becoming a volunteer?

Volunteers must be residents of the greater Atlanta community, have attended at least two Forum events, commit to at least two hours a week to work on Forum activities, agree to join the Forum and pay its membership fee once a volunteer placement is accepted, and provide a bio or CV.
