Entrepreneurs Uncensored

The Atlanta entrepreneur community is invited to join MIT Enterprise Forum for Entrepreneurs Uncensored. Come enjoy lunch and hear two successful serial entrepreneurs who will engage in a tell-all panel discussion. The event’s goal is to provide new entrepreneurs a realistic and uncensored view of what one is likely to encounter as an entrepreneur.

The format is a 45 minute networking lunch, followed by the panel discussion. Typically two entrepreneurs and a moderator discuss lessons learned from their entrepreneurial experiences. The conversation can center on a specific topic such as marketing and sales for start-up companies, or can cover the broad topic of do’s and don’ts from seasoned and serial entrepreneurs. Possible questions discussed include:

  • Was your foray into entrepreneurship carefully planned or did you fall into it unexpectedly?
  • What characteristics do you think are key to being a successful entrepreneur?
  • What was the biggest aspect of entrepreneurship that you did not anticipate/ expect?
  • What things kept you up at night?
  • Describe your biggest mistake/ the biggest thing you learned the hard way?
  • Did you ever wish you hadn’t started your own company, and if so, what kept you going?
  • Was managing your cash flow the biggest challenge, and if so, what kept you on track?
  • What was your philosophy for hiring and filling open positions?
