SkyRocket Financial brings knowledgeable business finance consulting to customers to help them find financial solutions to SkyRocket their business through access to capital and equipment leasing. He graduated with honors and has a Bachelor’s degree in business finance from the University of Phoenix. Tony is active in Angel investing in the Atlanta area and serves as the chairman of the membership committee of the Network of Business Angels and Investors Atlanta chapter. He has personally invested as an Angel Investor in 3 technology based companies and is an active member of stock and options trading groups in Atlanta. He has over 8 years experience working for a Silicon Valley based company (Foundry Networks) in advanced technology sales and consulting. He sits on the Gwinnett Technology Council for the Gwinnett Chamber of Commerce and is on the sub-committee for the Advanced Technology Development Center’s expansion into the north-metro area. He is a member of the National Funding Association and is pursuing the designation as a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).

Nelson joined Kinetic Ventures in early 1998. His investment activities focus on IT Infrastructure technologies (e.g., hardware systems and components, enterprise software), Internet software, database-related applications, and other emerging software and hardware technologies. He is actively involved with Caymas, BroadWare, Alereon, iVivity, and Pathfire. Prior to joining Kinetic Ventures, Nelson was a management consultant with McKinsey & Company and a Development Manager with Oracle Corporation. Nelson received his MBA with distinction from Harvard Business School, his MS in Electrical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and his BS in Electrical Engineering from Virginia Tech.

Mike Blake is Managing Director at Adams Capital, a boutique valuation services firm in business since 1995. Mike specializes in the valuation of emerging, privately-held companies, intellectual property, and intangible assets. Mike spent 8 years in venture capital and merchant banking, including implementing defense conversion in Russia, Ukraine & Belarus, investing in high-tech ventures in Israel, and supporting the financing of small companies in the United States. Mike also founded 3SVentures, a corporate financial consulting firm, which Adams Capital acquired in 2005.

Mr. Blake is an active participant in the Georgia early-stage investment community. In addition to co-founding StartupLounge.com, Mr. Blake is a mentor in the Georgia Tech/Emory TIGER program, sits on the Private Equity Task Force of the Urban League of Atlanta, is a business plan judge for the Bronner Business Institute, and last year helped mentor opportunities in ATDC’s CapVenture program.

Mike earned his BA in French & Economics from Franklin & Marshall College in Lancaster, PA, earned his MBA from Georgetown University and is a CFA Charterholder.

  22   KENNETH F. ANTLEY, ESQ.
Kent Antley was born and grew up in Charlotte, North Carolina. He graduated cum laude from Davidson College, Davidson, North Carolina, with an A.B. degree in philosophy in 1969. He then attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill for several years where he did graduate work in philosophy, obtaining an M.A. degree. Mr. Antley also was awarded a Fulbright-Hays fellowship for study at University College, University of London, London, England. Mr. Antley received his legal education at Duke University, from which he graduated in 1978.

Mr. Antley began his legal career in the commercial real estate department at a large Atlanta law firm, and then served as law clerk to the Honorable R. Lanier Anderson, III, United States Circuit Judge for the Eleventh Circuit for two years. After serving as Judge Anderson’s law clerk, he was an Assistant Professor of Law at the Walter F. George School of Law, Mercer University, Macon, Georgia. There he taught Constitutional Law, Uniform Commercial Code and Appellate Practice.

Mr. Antley is a member of the Corporate, Technology and Finance Practice Groups at Miller & Martin PLLC, where he represents many emerging growth companies, both high technology companies and “low tech” companies, and is familiar with the problems and financial needs typically faced by such companies. His broad experience with such companies includes company structure and formation, mergers and acquisitions, strategic partnerships, angel and venture capital investment, private placement of securities, asset based and SBA bank loans, shareholder agreements, confidentiality agreements and employment agreements. He has extensive experience in licensing technology and software, both for licensors and licensees and advising clients concerning procedures to protect trade secrets. Mr. Antley also has extensive experience in these areas in international transactions.

Mr. Antley was instrumental in founding, and is a director of, the Technology Association of Georgia and is Chairman of the TAG Foundation, which is actively supporting the organization and funding of Tech High, an innovative charter school located in Atlanta. He also a member of the MIT Enterprise Forum – Atlanta Advisory Board, the Wireless Technology Forum advisory board, the Atlanta Technology Angels and is a former Director of the Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce. He has been designated a SuperLawyer by Atlanta Magazine. He is a member of the American, Georgia, North Carolina and Atlanta Bar Associations, and is a member of the Business Section of the American Bar Association.
