This two part program will explore the opportunities for entrepreneurs in developing markets around the world and here at home. During the evening’s first segment you’ll hear real-world success stories from our entrepreneurs and the ways MIT is taking a leading role in globalization efforts for the 21st century. The second part of the program will feature a live Atlanta panel of local experts to discuss and answer your questions on opportunities in underserved areas in the Southeast region.

 

This event will follow a popular two part format:

 

Part I: Cambridge Satellite Broadcast

The satellite broadcast originating from MIT Campus in Cambridge, Massachuesetts
w ill focus on these key areas:

 

How to do good, and make money, by identifying needs and solving inefficiencies affecting underserved regions
How high-tech solutions work in low tech areas
Why entrepreneurship from the “bottom up” works
How to use the US legal and financial systems to go global
How to overcome legal and governmental obstacles

 

 

Part II: Atlanta Local Panel

The local live panel will focus on these key areas:

 

How to obtain phenomenal tax credits and other benefits available to entrepreneurs and businesses operating in designated “Renewal Communities” in the Atlanta area
Share the success story of a local entrepreneur who builds prepackaged homes for all areas of the world, particularly in devastated areas.
